Little Italy & Mile End
On Saturday, April 6 we set out explore the neighborhoods of Mile End and Little Italy, where there were fewer tourists and more locals around. Stephanie wanted to explore a yarn store in Mile End. The neighborhood had some upscale boutiques with bold fashions on display, but the transition to Little Italy was more run-down. In both neighborhoods we saw lots of quaint, old apartment buildings.

In Little Italy we had dinner at a great Italian restaurant called Corneli's. We both agreed that it was some of the best food we ever had anywhere. Molto bene!

After dinner we continued our stroll up Blvd St-Laurent to Marché Jean Talon, a large market featuring fresh produce, meats, and other wares.

In Montréal they have parking meters for bikes, something we had never seen before.
