Covent Garden

On Monday, September 30, we took the bus to Covent Garden, a square surrounded by cafes, restaurants, theaters, and upscale shops. We visited the Jubilee Market Hall and the neighboring Covent Garden Market. Both are large arcades under glass roofs. The Jubilee Market Hall is basically a large flea market where you can buy any kind of antique merchandise. The Covent Garden Market features shops, cafes, and restaurants.

After looking around for some time, we headed for the nearby Royal Opera House, where we had dinner and attended a performance of Tchaikovsky's Opera Eugene Onegin.
